Perhaps the smallest European adapid, Periconodon is a mouse lemur-size primate. Note in the upper cut (3) how the extra pericone on the inside of the upper first and second molars is present. As is the case with Anchomomys, there appears to be a very short space between the upper molars and the orbital margin. |
